But we went through twice..as an artist it's important to focus on (color formulation) (placement) and (integrity of the hair) there is no shame in going through twice to make it perfect. I began with a full session of balayage to give the highlights a cool edge and pop. Rinsed, got it dry and went back through with root shadow and smokey lowlight finding all the brassy areas and taking care of them. I encourage artists to take the time and be up front with your client. Ask them how much time they have.
