Photo by @shonephoto (Robbie Shone) - We're continuing to laser scan El Cenote (cave) in the Italian Dolomites and to create a 3D model of one of the largest underground chambers in Europe. Pictured is the scanning team in the great chamber at the bottom of El Cenote. It is critical that each scan overlaps the previous scan whilst also capturing as much information of the enormous void above. Interestingly, the floor of the chamber is a giant underground glacier covered by thousands of rocks.
