Last night my mom told me that if I don’t get the train ?moving then I will have to go to a vet close by, that amputates kitties toes, ?to get a quick fix for that issue. (Sadly we don’t have any humane vets nearby and I can’t go in a long car ride with this vertigo) Needless to say, the thought of that scared the you know what out of me. I’m feeling a lot better but still very wobbly. Let me explain what else happened yesterday. My mom was telling me how a lot people were coming to my page who had never heard about me and giving me well wishes. Thankfully, 99% of them are against amputating kitties toes. But then she told me about a few pro-declaw cat owners who are saying things like, “ I believe strongly in the right to front declaw my kittens for complete indoor living. They have never had any emotional or traumatic results. I’ve never had a vet say anything negative (about declawing). Another said, “ I have never had a vet who was reluctant or seen any ill effects from it. My beautiful baby has never been sick a day in her life, and she is perfectly happy in her life. I had no idea City the Kitty was so political.” Saving kitties from this inhumane procedure is being political?? She said she thought I was just about “cute cat fun and photography”, (which I am but I put saving kitties from this horrific thing first) and she is going to unlike my page. She said her cat is, “faithful to the litter box and my furniture looks like new. I am writing this for the innocent people who might want to be first time owners of a cat!” So after hearing that, I literally got sick 3 times, since I was so sad that a human being could justify doing such a horrific thing to their kitties and that someone with a heart and a mind could actually throw away their humanity, common sense, and compassion to think that way.
