Garrett McNamara (@mcnamara_s) has been surfing humongous waves for over a month at Nazare. He was ready as anyone to tackle this beast--one of the biggest paddle waves we've seen at Mav's for a long time. Unfortunately, Mav's had other plans, as it does sometimes, and this wipeout resulted in a trip to the hospital with a dislocated shoulder. Best wishes go out for a speedy recovery.
