The audience falls silent, expectant. A soft whistling peels through the January trees. The lights quickly dim to a darkened sky, vacuous, and the theatre is set. Exponentially out of the horizon, the orchestra builds up into a thunderous cacophony. It's at its height that a lone dancer bursts into the spotlight and to the cheering of camera shutters. Then in one elegant sweep, she tips her wings, and graces the audience with a grand jeté. We're mesmerized. Our breaths, caught. Our eyes still pierce the skies long after she makes her exit, waiting for an encore. ?: @LairdKay
