#StuartDavis's The Mellow Pad has been a highlight of our collection since being acquired in 1992. Now, thanks to a generous Art Conservation Project grant from @bankofamerica, this important painting received both conservation treatment and a thorough technical study of its materials. This treatment will also allow Davis’s great work to travel with an upcoming retrospective organized by @whitneymuseum. bit.ly/bkmconservation #bkmconservation
