About the Shot: Drop knee cruising - I find cruising on a #skateboard such a nice way to get out and get some fresh air and clear the mind, I would often go cruising in my neighborhood in the afternoon after University or use it as study break during exams. I usually take photos like this while #wakeskating and one evening I thought I’d capture a similar shot while skateboarding.

How the Shot was Captured: For this shot I wanted to capture the motion of myself skateboarding so I used a @snake_river_prototyping Neutral Density filter on the lens of my GoPro to create the motion blur, which actually makes it look like I’m going a lot faster than I was. I got into the drop knee position to get lower to the ground to create more motion blur and being in this position also allowed the #GoPro to easily capture me head to toe while being in landscape. I had the GoPro in Time-lapse mode 0.5s so that I would capture a bunch of shots like this and then I could select the best image of the shot. While capturing this shot I also had to keep the GoPro very still relative to me so that I would be in focus and and my surroundings blurred. Shot with the #HERO3+ Black edition mounted on the 3-way. #crusin #longboard
