Young Afar boys and girls gather under the stars to perform songs as part of coming of age rituals in Haramfaf Bouri village in the Afar region of Ethiopia.

Spent a magical evening under an enveloping sky while on assignment for @ナショナルジオグラフィック Part I of the @OutofEdenWalk. As a three decade field recordist, I felt so at home, being welcomes by all during this very special coming of age midnight ritual. Hope you enjoy.
