Last night I had a dream about living in the historic #ElmCort a Vanderbilt sloane mansion in #Lenox and #Stockbridge #Berkshires #Massachusetts. As a little boy my parents close friends would take us on hikes through the magical woods to explore and sneak in to the then #Abandoned overgrown estate and house, it felt Spooky and intriguing at the same time (has since been majorly restored and brought back to life). Retrospectively This was very influential on me to see such a grand "haunted house" in the woods. Elm Cort harks back to such a romantic moment of grandeur and fantasy in American lifestyle and architecture. Maybe with the success of Downton Abbey and the show American princesses there could be A scripted series on the Tudor style estate with all its rich history. #TvPitchTime The 106 room " cottage" was Designed by Peabody and Stearns with olmsted landscaping.
