The Polypore – a semicrescent-shaped mushroom that grows on the trunks of trees. This time, Azuma Makoto will display 9 original pieces taking the polypore as inspiration. The exhibition will feature botanical sculptures showcasing the interplay of two very different materials: the natural, unique shape and pattern of the mushroom alongside gold, platinum, and bronze.
樹木の幹に半月状の子実体をつけるサルノコシカケ。今回はサルノコシカケをテーマに、9点のオリジナル作品を制作。独特な形状や模様を描く自然の産物と、ゴールド、プラチナ、ブロンズの美しい異素材を融合させた植物彫刻を展示致します。
