Thanks for your note. I really wish I had time to take on an apprentice but I'm just to slammed with work right now. I'm also deep into the learning process of trying to be a master gunsmith. I have been thinking about starting a skills school in the future. It's definitely on my To-Do list. As far as your question about the direction of your craft? Welding and Fab skills don't change with what you are working on. It takes the same amount of skill and focus to build a bike as it did for me to make munition racks in a shipyard. Get your head past what you see as a "cool" job, and see what you could learn at a job that has the skills you Need. If you really have the itch for bike building? buy a basket case bigtwin and build it at night and on weekends. Do it for Love at first. Thats how I started.
