I want you to keep reading because this post is for you! Over this last week, I personally have had just wayyy to much in my plate and it's been feeling like I've been swallowed up by a to-do list and I just can't escape! (Sound familiar for anyone?!) ☹️ I'm going to keep this simple and tell you ONE thing that has helped me over the last couple of days.. Before I go to bed, I stretch. It sounds basic but I can't tell you how much this simple thing has kept me together! There is a special routine I do and I want to share it with you ☺️?? ⭐️ Shower, pj's, brush teeth and find a quiet room ⭐️ Light some candles for some natural light ⭐️ Turn off anything electronic, lights, TV, phone, computer (except if you're a music person, find your favourite relaxed music) ⭐️ Settle down, enjoy the dimmed light and go through your favourite stretches (especially your hips, they hold the most tension!) ⭐️ Whenever you feel your ready, stumble into bed You may stretch for 10min, or you could take an hour..whatever you feel you need. Stretching releases hormones that encourage your body (and brain!) to relax, the dimmed light and minimal electrics calm your nervous system, and time to slow down and focus only on stretching your muscles will clear your mind and encourage restful sleep (the most essential time for repair and rejuvenation). I want you to try it.
