#TBT relates to Dashwood Books @dashwood_books on Bond St NYC which sells only photography books, many which are obscure. The shop is run by a lovely Japanese woman, Miwa-san, who by total coincidence had just seen me perform weeks before and whose husband I had just worked with at an event...small world. Her knowledge and care in tending to her quirky clientele is unparallel to none. I noticed a book by Araki and remembered our first session in 1988 (this picture which he signed for me).
