Here’s a flashback to when @pete_eldridge frontside 180ed over a huge hubba while filming for the Mystery promo video back in 2007. I was the staff photographer for Black Box at the time, and Pete was shooting toward an interview in @TheSkateboardMag issue #51, to be timed with his first Mystery part. @photoJoeBrook had tipped us off about a couple of rad spots in the tiny mountain town of Sonora, California. When I say “tiny” I mean it’s a town with less than 5,000 people, so it was fairly obvious when a white van full of skaters rolled in to pillage the town over the course of a weekend! Sonora had two spots, both amazing and totally worth the six-hour drive: a green ten-stair rail and this hubba at the high school. It didn’t take long for the local sheriff to get our license plate number, as we proceeded to play a weekend game of cat and mouse, going back and forth between kicking us out of each spot—over and over again. In the end, though, Pete came away with this 180. Although I can probably never go back to that town because they have my info on file ... it was worth it! ?: @shigeophoto || #ShootAllSkaters
