A leap of OUI! by our very own @kayleebeth28 / “When I was 23, just after graduating college, I spent eight months living in France teaching English at a middle school. I knew no one before going, I over-packed, I moved into a weird dorm at the local college. It was hard, but I loved it. During the first week, a student tapped me on the back, spoke way too fast for me, but I managed to process “baby-sitting” and just responded with a yes. She returned the next day with a letter written in English from her mother. I ended up moving in with her family to be an au pair of sorts. Funnily enough, my birthday is February 28, and I was born in a leap year. I guess you could say I made a leap the very day I was born.” ⠀
