#GoPro Featured Photographer – Mark Healey (aka @donkeyshow)

About the Shot: This little guy was captured about two years ago while I was running a sea #turtle hatchery in #Indonesia. The hatchery helps to grow the population and once they are big enough, we release them back into their natural habitat.  After a few releases I became curious and wanted to know what happens to these awesome sea creatures. Where did it go? Will the currents take him? How will he adapt? So on a beautiful, glassy day I escorted this guy 200 yards offshore just beyond the reef to his new home.
How the Shot was Captured: As I was swimming along, I knew I’d have plenty of time to capture content so I set my #HERO3+Black to 1s #timelapse mode and started shooting.  As the turtle was #swimming around, he rose towards the surface and saw his reflection on the water! Pretty interesting to see his reaction. Shooting in time-lapse mode is great because you can grab 200 photos no problem and know you’ll have a good one!
