I spent part of my weekend reprocessing and stitching this panorama of Lake Mead that I shot in 2014. Whether it was an increase in my photoshop skills or a better raw converter, I was able to achieve much more detail in the foreground than in my first print attempt. This panoramic is a stitch of 18 vertical images taken at dusk with a 1.4 lens wide open. The helicopter was hovering at 8,000 feet and had rotate across 270 degrees on a fixed point in space. If the helicopter moves slightly off point or there is some missed focus or camera vibration on my part in just 1 of the 18 images, the panoramic won't line up properly. In other words this is living on the photographic edge, but with the help of an excellent pilot I was able to achieve the image that I had visualized.
