Being a professional athlete means that a lot of time is spent focusing on my own journey, my progression as an athlete, my goals and aspirations - and basically, ME. 2015 was no different. I spent my year deeply focused on some very specific goals that reflect and define my passion for climbing and the mountains. It was incredible, exhilarating, and humbling; and I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to pursue such experiences.
But the final chapter of my journey last year is about someone else's passion, someone else's progression and goals, and someone else's success. That person is Tim Harrington, my father (@timnharrington) He's taught me more in climbing and in life than anyone else (and my mom, of course :). He's spent countless hours in the gym belaying me while I trained and at the cliff on my projects. He traveled with me when I competed as a youth climber. He supported my dream to pursue climbing as a career. He believed in me and he made it known. This video, shot by the one and only @jonglassberg and edited beautifully by the @louderthan11 crew, is the story of his passion, for climbing and for being a parent, and the journey we've been so lucky to take together throughout my life.
