@Instagram announced yesterday that they will start using algorithms to decide what you "want" to see in your Instagram feed. Like Facebook, you won't see things chronologically but based on a computer-generated system of popularity, big business, and random results. Some changes to Instagram are great, but this is an "ain't broke don't fix" circumstance.
One thing you can do is post or repost something on your account with the hashtag #keepinstagramchronological so that it trends and is visible to @Instagram.
More importantly, choose to always see what you want by clicking on the three dots in the right corner of your favorite accounts' photos to turn on notifications. If you like a photo, like it and comment on it. This helps all small and creative businesses regardless of Instagram changes to an algorithms-based feed or not.
