Being a Professional Photographer for the past 14 years, shooting with a drone has become newest and most exciting discovery for me since beginning work with #GoPro. I love the total change in perspective. It fulfills a Photographers innate curiosity of what subjects can or could look like from great distance, which before was impossible. There is something so relaxing about viewing your very distant subject through a monitor and trying to get your scene just right which is totally different from the chaos that I am accustomed to on set or in the studio.

That said, weather and conditions can be a bit stressful. During this shoot in Tahoe, we (Myself and Producer) were trying to decide wether to send the #drone amidst strong gusts and intermittent white out conditions. We finally got a break of sky and decided to go for it. I am always amazed at how well drones hold up in crazy wind conditions and I left this shoot with a new level of confidence piloting. I loved this photo both in color and black & white but the B&W version feels more serene to me. I tend to go that way with a lot of my GoPro photos.

How the Shot was Captured:
Shot with a #HERO4Black set up at 2 sec time lapse so that I was able to have intermittent view in the monitor in order to compose the shot. EV 0 Med Sharpening and Protune On
