woke up to an alert on my phone: "JESS'S BDAY, EEE" that I've had set for 3 years now. no one can ever encapsulate or match the quality, the layers, the generosity of spirit, the intelligence, the strength or the heart that this woman has. she has saved me from myself and others more times than I can count, and even though I've hardly been a person to rely on to give it back this past year, she has never wavered in her unbiased and nonjudgmental love or support for me. I am more than proud of the career and life that she is building for herself, and in a world where so many who garner the title "role model" but don't necessarily live like one, she is the epitome of what women everywhere should strive to be. the world could use more women like this one.
