100 years of innovation.
In March 1916 Panerai introduces a break through innovation: the “Radiomir”. The term - a combination of “radio” (radium) and ‘’mira’’ (sights) - appeared first in the supplement of a patent registered under the number 491,014 for a self-luminous radium-based powder that gives strong almost perpetual luminosity to the instruments and devices that Panerai  provided to the Royal Italian Navy. Since then, and for now one hundred years, Officine Panerai has been honoring this true heritage with a range of break-through technical innovations which makes Panerai an authentic leader in the field of High-end technical sport watches.
