‘I’m actually much more of a shy person than people expect, I kind of have two versions of myself, I know everybody has lots of versions of themselves…
But I have one that's completely hyperactive and crazy and full of energy, and impossible to track down, and that’s me on stage.
If you're meeting me on the street I’m actually shy and retiring, I’m a quiet person, depends what mood you catch me in.
I’d say some of the best songs I’ve ever written are...you know that moment when you’re on a long haul flight and everyone else is asleep, and you just feel so alone? Inspiration has struck me on more than one occasion during those lonely moments.’
