Joseph Sorota, 96, is one of the last living members of the ‘Hush-Hush Boys’ — a legendary team of engineers that worked on building the first American #jetengine. Although thousands of people worked on the project, only a handful knew what they were actually building and were strictly prohibited from talking about it. “We couldn’t talk to anyone about our work,” says Sorota, who joined as employee No. 5.
