New cultural platform holds exhibition of K-star portraits

Updated : April 26 2016 (Seihon Cho Twitter)Lotte Duty Free, Korean conglomerate Lotte group’s duty free business, recently collaborated with the Arts Council Korea and Seongdong district to launch an interactive cultural platform.

Called Understand Avenue, it opened in Seoul Forest on April 18. (Seihon Cho Twitter)To celebrate the opening of the venue, the exhibition “Eye Contact” by renowned Korean portrait photographer Seihon Cho is being held through May 1. (Seihon Cho Twitter)The exhibition will display black-and-white portraits of A-list hallyu stars such as boy bands EXO and Super Junior, actors Lee Min-ho and Kim Soo-hyun and actress Park Shin-hye. The stars are all designated celebrity ambassadors of Lotte Duty Free. (Seihon Cho Twitter)Cho is most renowned for his black-and-white photography works on the concept of “agape,” featuring celebrities with babies in their arms.
