Our Bento Box Cake for #MothersDay at @ドミニクアンセルベーカリー was inspired by the little bentos that moms make for their kids. It's a light mousse cake with "rice" on top that's actually shredded coconut, Gianduja chocolate mousse with coconut dacquoise at the base, raspberry jelly to represent the ume boshi (sour plum), and raspberry jam-filled crepes for the tamago (the traditional Japanese egg omelet). There's even "fried chicken" bites, which are actually choux puffs! It's our little way of saying thanks to all the moms out there ?
