On this day in 1969, #JohnnyCash taped his TV special at the Grand Ol' Opry in Nashville and it included #BobDylan. Dylan’s band was the same group that backed him on #Nashville Skyline: Kenny Buttrey, Charley McCoy, Pete Drake, Norman Blake, Charlie Daniels and Bob Wilson, and they performed "I Threw It All Away" and "Living the Blues.” The session included #JoniMitchell, the Statler Brothers and a remarkable Cajun fiddler named Doug Kershaw. Although Cash’s show had a rocky two years on ABC, this duo playing together went down as a major milestone in music history.
