Mother's Day is this Sunday, May 8th! We always remembered when mom would pack a bento for us for school when we were little kids, so in honor of all the moms out there, we've created our Bento Box Cake. It's a light mousse cake with "rice" on top that's actually shredded coconut, Gianduja chocolate mousse with coconut dacquoise, raspberry jelly to represent the ume boshi (sour plum), and crepes for the tamago (the traditional Japanese egg omelet). There's even "fried chicken" bites, but they're actually choux puffs! It's our little way of saying thank you so much, Mom! ?
もうすぐ母の日！子供の頃学校に行く時お母さんが作ってくれたお弁当。そんなお弁当からできたドミニクのお弁当ボックスケーキ！
ごはんはココナッツファインとチョコレートムースでラジズベリーゼリーで出来た梅干し、クレープの卵焼き。コロッケは食べてみるとシュークリーム！お母さんいつもありがとう！
