A few more days until the #CronutTurns3! We've been sharing some of our favorite moments from over the years, and just recently, we received a birthday poem from @mygrante that I thought was too cool not to share. Thanks for the awesome words, Erik! ?? #TheyGrowUpSoFast #HappyBirthdayCronut [.......] To start this letter I must first say,
without any hinderance, lag, or lingering delay,
that this is a truth I’ll stand behind as a man,
that I most certainly am not the world’s biggest Cronut fan.

Now while it’s true at least one day every month for the last two years
I’d awake despite the pains, the aches, or the tears
when that maddening alarm would scream at 6 o’clock
I’d grab my jacket and cap and head down the block
to the Subway I’d march light on my feet
and vist my friends at 189 Spring Street

Every time a long line was sure to be expected
and I’d wait patiently for my time to be selected.
I’d enjoy a free hot chocolate and time would just fade.
On some warm days they’d serve fresh lemonade,
and if I was lucky I might get more than one madeleine.
But none of this suggests I'm the world’s biggest Cronut fan

There once was a time when an orchestra played a minuet
while we waited on the status of that plastic baguette,
and as soon as I saw the marker was behind me in line
I knew that magical pastry soon would be mine.
I’d say to my friends let’s keep it secret so the flavor is unknown, eh?
whether it was Rose Vanilla, Gingerbread or Fig Marscapone
Rhubarb, Cassis, Pumpkin or Toffee
Passionfruit, Strawberry, Banana, or Coffee
Finished with maybe lemon or black sugar or thyme
It all took me back to my first, the Blackberry Lime
Just writing this I begin to think of next month’s acquisition plan…
oh no! Could it be? Am I the world’s biggest Cronut fan?

From the s’more and meringue to the shot in the cookie
when it comes to the croissant and Canneles I’m certainly no rookie
I even got to try all types of Melonpan
But surely this doesn’t make me the world’s biggest Cronut fan. (CONTINUED)
