So excited to be spending all of June touring #Australia with Strip, Strip, Hooray! It's no small feat to fly all the props and scenery across the world; I am so thrilled that after four years of touring with this show, this will be the first time we've managed to bring the show overseas, and I can't think of a better country to bring it than Australia! I thought it would be impossible, and I want to thank @niceeventsaus for having faith in the show to help make it happen.
I know there was some miscommunication regarding my personal appearance at the pre-show cocktail. The promoters mistakenly listed that I would appear before the show, which is something I would never do because not only do I have to get glamorized (...didn't wake up like this!) but I also need time to warm up my body, review the safety/workings/placement of the stage props, and with these extravagant costumes, dressing takes a lot of time. This isn't the first time it was assumed that I just rolled out of bed glamorous and show-ready! There is no glam squad backstage prepping me, popping on wigs and such to get me ready for the stage; it's just me back there. (...and @theeddiedebarr, my trusty wardrobe expert!)
There was also the mistaken promise of a group photo at the pre-show party, and I just didn't see how this could be fair to all. I mean, I wouldn't want to be the gal stuck out on the end of the photo in a group of 50.There's just no way we could do this and make it fair to everyone. In addition to early entry to the theatre, show poster and free cocktail, cast members are hosting the pre-show party, and I am also putting one of my costumes from The Crazy Horse Paris on display at the event. If none of this is appealing, refunds are offered. I love meeting my fans, and whenever it's possible, we offer meet and greet packages at the end of my shows, with one-one one time to chat and take a photo onstage just after the curtain falls, while sitting next to me on my stage set. A lot goes into my preparation before each and every show to ensure I give the best performance I can night after night. I would never want to disappoint anyone attending my show ?
