Photo by @martinschoeller Ed: "I’ve been photographed my whole life. I enjoy photographs. I think the neatest thing about the phones is that there’s so many images in them. The world has been captured." Martin: "Yeah, everybody is a photographer now. It’s kinda nice that so many people can enjoy photography now because it’s so easy to take pictures. Everybody can do it now." E: "And the quality." M: "The quality is getting better and better. The phones are decent now." E: "I used to have a little Minolta. My mom had a 35mm. I learned how to develop film. We had a little dark room ‘cause my dad was into it." M: "Do you have a place to stay at night or do you roam the streets like so many here?" E: "I roam at the moment. The bus is warm. The 4 and the 704 go all night." M: "Is it about an hour each way?" E: "Yeah, hour and a half. You should do a thing on that. It’s weird, it’s like a whole culture now, people live on the bus at night because it’s the only place that’s warm and safe. Everybody goes to sleep. It’s like clockwork. You get off at the end for twenty minutes, you get back on, you go to sleep." M: "How many people are on the bus?" E: "Forty, fifty. It’s a mobile culture at night where people sleep. It’s very strange. Just go experience it sometime. It’s weird. It’s worth doing at 1am just go ahead and get on one, it’ll take you all the way down to Santa Monica, you can get off and enjoy the pier." M: "What happened that you lost your place that you ended up living on the street?" E: "Oh gosh, things went up too much and I didn’t have the money. The economy’s been real bad. I was a manager for bands basically, a business manager, road manager, personal manager. Yeah. And then the music world changed. Now albums are free online." .
