Almost every comic book character is missing at least one parent. In @The Flash, the missing piece is Barry Allen's Mom, who has featured in some of the best episodes of the show. Tonight, in the episode of #TheFlash I got to direct, Nora is in play once again. Created by @geoffjohnsdc, Nora may be my favorite fictional Mom of all time. The story of #Flash is that of a boy who loses his Mom and sees his family shattered by a horrible, inexplicable crime (and not a crime of cinema, like @tuskthemovie or @yogahosers either). The scene between Barry and his Mom in the Season 1 finale of #theflashcw is one of my favorite things ever produced by human hands, it's so perfect. And my episode plays like a sorta spiritual sequel to that episode. Big thanks to the cast & crew for bringing a very special episode to life while I watched with awe & admiration. Thanks also to @andrewkreisberg & @gberlanti & everyone else at #TheFlashCW for letting me play with their toys and to @musezack for the wonderful script!
