Mystical ~ A two-meter long pole, wrapped in offerings of handkerchiefs, rests inside a cave at the sacred and deeply spiritual Beket-Ata mausoleum in Beket-Ata, Kazakhstan.

Born in 1750, Beket-Ata was considered a clairvoyant, curer, learned in physics, maths, and astronomy. He constructed many underground mosques in the Mangystau region and later in life he became a Sufi.

It is believed that Beket-Ata used this pole to carry water. Today it is considered to have mystical healing powers, where people from all over Kazakhstan and Central Asia come touch the pole, seeking cures for alignments.
