For most of you, this will mean nothing. But for anyone with diabetes, you will understand how much this new A1C means to me. When I was diagnosed with Type 1 in January my A1C was an off-the-charts high of 14. Today after 4 months of intense hard work and dedication, it's 5.3. Unfortunately my bad cholesterol went up and will be its own challenge, but today this is a major victory and I could not be happier to see this number change from life threatening to a healthy range. (And yes, my T4 is high, we're trying to figure it out and I've had allll the tests for everything, I assure you. Please do not suggest medical advice or 'miracle' diets.
