Happy 224th birthday to the @nyse! Tens of millions of tourists visit Wall Street every year, but many never know that the first capital of the United States was not Washington, D.C. or Philly. It was right here in lower Manhattan! The financial district is where the @statedept was founded, the @treasurydept founded, and where Congress and the Supreme Court met for the first time. #FiDi is also where George Washington was inaugurated the first @POTUS.
