The U.S. Women's National Team got a dose of inspiration from an unlikely source - albino sisters Bibiana and Tindi Mashamba from an isolated African village in Tanzania. Six years ago they had just buried their father - a victim of AIDS - when intruders broke into their house and severed Bibiana's right leg and two of her fingers while her sister managed to hide - all in guise of myths about albinos being tied to witchcraft. Bibiana out-grew her replacement limb in her village of Butundwe. Through the African Millennium Foundation based in Beverly Hills, the 17-year-old Bibiana and her sister were brought to Los Angeles for treatment and are now living in Southern California in a safe environment. 2012 Olympic silver medalist Tama Miyashiro connected with the sisters at the Angel City Sports Sitting Volleyball Clinic last month and invited the sisters into the USA gym to watch practice. Tama said: "I think it is amazing. A part of the program is we play for something bigger than us and to have an impact on other people and bring some joy into their life and introduce them to the game. Generally we get more out of it and we are grateful for our opportunities. It is nice to bring in pretty nice and inspiring people into our gym." Tama's teammate wrote in an Instagram post: "Humbled, inspired & honored to meet Bibiana and Tandi Mashamba today. These two young, INCREDIBLE girls from Tanzania, Africa came to watch our practice today and shared their story with us afterward. Back in 2010, they were targeted and attacked simply because they are albino Africans. Now, thanks to angels and foundations @1amf and @asistersvillage, they are safe and building a new life here in LA. So happy to have them a part of our @usavolleyball family." #USAVolley2016 #humansofvb
