One of my favorite life to-do lists is from Ralph Waldo Emerson: "Be silly. Be honest. Be kind." I might be too much of the first, but I'm also honest about parenting my four kids. It's hard. And wonderful. Also, messy, sticky, and expensive. Parenthood is the coolest gig on the planet and I freaking love my kids a ridiculously huge amount.
Am I messing some things up? Duh. Am I trying my best to raise good humans for the world? You better believe it.
