@ideascity will travel from Detroit to Athens, Arles, and New York, occupying disused buildings with our residency program in which selected participants will spend a week living, sleeping, eating, and working together with local artists, activists, and designers.☄☄
But reaaaally, how do 40 people sleep in an disused building? Well, this ☝is our master bedroom in Detroit! Belgium designer Thomas Lommée developed these 'sleeping pods' based on the OpenStructures system, which is basically a set of easy to assemble beams and boards, as a new type of contemporary nomadism.
