MY SISTER IS TEACHER OF THE YEAR!! She beat out a huge number of people in her district and she's now up against 14 people for the whole state of Utah!! If she wins she gets $10,000 (crazy awesome bonus for a teachers salary), a 1 week trip to space camp (I've wanted to go there since I was 12, but I hope she beats be), AND a trip to Washington DC to meet the president!!! HOLY BANANAS!!!! I am so very proud of her and I know how hard she works. She's the silliest, craziest person I know but that's exactly what makes her such an incredible teacher. If you agree with me that we need to continue the trend of teaching ASL at our high schools, and having an awesome teacher makes an awesome language that much better, go to her page on her school's Facebook page and give them a like. Let's try to get this page as many likes as we can so that the state is forced to notice how great she is. Spread the word! Tell your friends to like!
