I'm sorry to interrupt your holiday weekend, but I want you to meet Roman.
He had his toes amputated on Friday.
One of the saddest things that I've experienced lately with this cause is when you go to the search bar at the top of the page on Facebook and type in "declawed" and click on "Latest" at the top left, you will see cats that have just been declawed or cats that are being thrown away by their owners who had them declawed.
It's like a never ending rolling nightmare. Every 5-10 minutes another paw is mutilated and another life is thrown away. All of the posts are from American cat owners. It is so disheartening to know that the veterinary profession in this country has such a dark side to it like this and it's so appalling that leaders of the NYSVMS have lost their moral compasses and sold their souls and are passionately trying to kill the bill that would protect all cats like Roman from this horrific thing. Look at his paws. And the owner seem oblivious to what she just did to Roman.
