Here's what it looks like when 22 years of your goofy art brings out the goofy artist in others. The @yogahosers tour kicked off in #NOLA last night and I met my bosses: the lovely #Louisiana people who patronize my productions. There's the couple in homemade Scan B.C. shirts, the girl who cosplayed Colleen, and two gents who permanently stained their skin with images of me & my friends. I was super flattered and chatty all night. A good time was had by all! Well... Most, anyway: during the Q&A, one ticket holder was not pleased with what he'd seen. I told the story of making @tuskthemovie and #YogaHosers before the screening and the guy was displeased at the differences between me talking about making the movie and the actual movie itself (which he deeply disliked). Folks tried to boo him down but I wouldn't let it happen: the man paid his money so he was entitled to express his disappointment. But he was of the opinion that the flick shouldn't have been made at all - and that's where I figured the best course of action was to simply give him his money back. I couldn't give him his time back but I had $40 in my pocket, so I offered it to him, politely as possible, no hard feelings. He didn't ask for it but he didn't take it either. Not sure why; seemed like he wanted to hold onto his outrage instead. But it felt like the rest of the folks enjoyed themselves, though - including the couple I married at the end of the show (something I seem to do a lot lately). It was a fun, fascinating night in the French Quarter and I loved every minute of it (even the guy who hated the flick)! TONIGHT, I bring the Hosers to PONTE VEDRA, FLORIDA with my Mom in attendance. So if anyone is gonna diss the movie in the Q&A, wait until Mom goes to the bathroom. I'm okay with criticism but my Mom might cry if she hears someone doesn't like her son's shit. I may be the biggest @thatkevinsmith fan on the planet, but Mom's easily the second biggest. #KevinSmith #KevinSmithMovies #NewOrleans
