"I think if you really make it as a ballet dancer you have to have something inside of you that's a little bit masochistic. You have to be okay with a lot of physical pain and then a lot of disappointment, as well. And like with any live performance, ballet is in the moment, it’s unedited, it’s unfiltered. There’s no such thing as a perfect performance. Every show something goes wrong, but that’s the beauty of it.
