“My first thought was wake boarding. So I got in touch with CK Foster and Fred Carter – two of the best names in the business,” Red Bull Photographer Olaf Pignataro (@olafpix) explains. “They could see so many opportunities for some great stunts.” The Falkirk Wheel in Scotland connects two canals by raising boats 24m from one body of water to another. It’s ingenious engineering and a truly spectacular piece of architecture. And, now, for wakeboarding, too. Olaf arranged for a powerful winch to be brought to the location, which would pull CK and Fred through the water, plus a narrow boat that they could jump over. The results?
