This pic is from Thursday when Trey (tripod) and Trenton came home.
Due to the amount of infection that formed in the last 24 hours and his high fever, he is being given fluids and antibiotics via IV for the night in the emergency vet as the doctor wants him to stabilize & rehydrate before putting him through such a big surgery again. He'll be monitored tomorrow and as soon as the doctor feels he's stable enough for surgery they will be removing the scapula as it is infected.
For now he is resting comfortably. This could not have waited until morning so although pet emergency centers are more expensive, we do what we have to do to save a life.
We trapped & are fostering these guys but @goodkarmapetrescue stepped up & is accepting as adoptees which means they are also paying the bills.

Thanks everyone for your support for this little guy! I'll continue to give updates! Meanwhile, his brother is here with us not very happy that he is missing and very worried about him. He keeps meowing for him and looking around, very vocal! They are very close and I see a sleepless night ahead lol.
