It isn’t every day that you get to shatter Guinness World Records. This past weekend, the world’s most efficient combined-cycle #powerplant started producing #electricity near the village of Bouchain in northern France. The plant’s beating heart — an advanced #GE #gasturbine — can convert more than 62 percent of fuel energy into electricity, helping the plant operator, EDF (@edfofficiel), to quickly respond to the changing demand and supply from customers with power from intermittent sources of renewable energy such as wind and the sun.
