This is Rima. She grew up in Hama, Syria, and for most of her life, “everything was beautiful, even the air, and it was really safe.” But conflict soon forced Rima and her family to evacuate. Rima holds onto the hope that one day she and her children will be able to return home. “I want to die there and be buried in Syria,” she says. “I wish for my children happiness and that things get better in Syria so they can go back there and have families and a house.” In the meantime she says, “Please tell people we are suffering.
