My Grandma, Arvilla Devine, died today. She was the matriarch of our family and besides my mother, the strongest woman I have ever known. What she has gone through to raise six kids would take its toll on anyone but I never heard her complain. She did what she had to do from working at a meat packing plant, to a John Deere factory, doing whatever she could to give her kids a better life than the one she was given. She was loyal, kind, giving and instilled a blue collar work ethic in me that I am forever grateful for. I love you grandma and miss you more than any dumb Instagram post can express. Love the people in your life, especially the elderly because they will be gone before you're ready. Make sure they know how much they mean to you. Don't wait! Call your Grandma!
This pic was at the Pitch Perfect 2 premiere that I was able to take her to last summer. We had a great night that night.
