Just over a year ago the U.S. Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage across the country. This year's Pride events are happening just over two weeks after a gunman killed 49 people at Orlando's Pulse nightclub in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

After 20 years living abroad and making pictures, I've returned to my native country to rediscover the USA through photography and to understand the social changes happening here.
