I hope everyone is having a most beautiful weekend! Today was the first time in awhile where I carved room to completely unplug from everything and fully immerse myself making memories with loved ones including a few spontaneous adventures. And doing all of this without snapping photos, checking my phone or allowing detours or distractions to dictate aside from the backroads we explored in the countryside today. And not that there is anything wrong with the other stuff but sometimes I need balance with it and a little unplugging here and there is good for the soul and goes a long way. Plus the weather could not have been more gorgeous! •
And to top it off, upon my return back home there was a @darkstarcollection notebook waiting for me in my mailbox! So I did what any good fountain pen junkie would and ripped it out of its package and tested it with a favorite in the repertoire, which for me would be the Aurora Optima Monviso 360, available for a limited time at @fountainpenhospital. •
First impression of the notebook? This paper is nice, very nice. Very very very nice in fact. I may or may not have danced in my chair a little. I wish the glue was just a touch more durable because I'm pretty hard on my notebooks but the paper is just so delectable that it's a small oversight for me. I really dig the design a lot and I cannot wait to fill these pages up. I definitely see more of these notebooks in my future. Thumbs up @darkstarcollection!! ??? •
