Amidst all of the bad stuff happening this last few weeks (+a monsoon season UK 'summer'), at least Jamaican-born Mary Seacole finally got her statue, erected last week outside St Thomas's Hospital, London. The Crimean War heroine voted 'the greatest Black Briton' in 2004 is the first WOC to have a statue built in her honour in the UK. #MarySeacole KayX
